Please be sure to read this information thoroughly before camp starts
Camp begins at 9:00 a.m. at 117 Whalley Avenue in the St. Luke's Steel Band Rehearsal Room.
Please be on time - ensembles require everyone's full participation!
This is the camp schedule:
MONDAY-FRIDAY
9:00- 9:50 a.m. strings class for string players, pan class for pan players
9:50-10:00 a.m. snack
10:00-10:50 a.m. strings class for pan players, pan class for strings players
10:50-11:00 a.m. snack
11:00-11:50 a.m. strings class for pan players, pan class for strings players or combined ensembles
11:50-12:15 p.m. snack and walk to Possible Futures Bookstore
12:15- 1:00 p.m. reading and relaxing
1:00 p.m. PICK UP AT POSSIBLE FUTURES BOOKSTORE, 318 EDGEWOOD AVENUE, NEW HAVEN
SATURDAY SHOWCASE
9:00-10:00 a.m. set up instruments in parking lot
10:00-11:00 a.m. rehearse for showcase
11:00-12:00 p.m. performance, open to all families and friends
It is important that students have breakfast before they arrive. Please know that they will not be allowed to buy food at nearby restaurants during camp hours.
String instruments and steel pans will be provided for all students. Please help us help the students to understand that they need to be careful with these instruments which can easily be damaged and cost a lot to repair.
